What is TPO membrane?
TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) is a single-ply roofing membrane. It is generally used on commercial or residential buildings with a low-slope or flat roof. TPO can be ballasted, mechanically fastened, or chemically adhered to roof insulation.
What is The TPO Membrane Installation Process?
The TPO membrane installation process starts with an initial inspection and measure. We meet with our clients to select the right roofing system for their budget and project. A pre-job walkthrough is done, and after installation, a top-level member of our management team does final quality inspections.
All crews are supervised during installation, and Bob Harvey Roofing documents and photographs every job. The first layer we install on the roof is a fire brake, then insulation to improve the roof’s R-value, with the final layer the TPO membrane. R-value is the measure of the material’s resistance to heat flow.
We are proud of our completed TPO membrane projects. It includes Clearfield Apartments in Clearfield and the Amcor fabrication buildings in North Salt Lake City.
